  6. 1. Why FOYD?
  7. I write FOYD on my lunch breaks, so it is not a "state
  8. of the art" screen saver; it's free ware (I will be happy if 
  9. you send me a postcard) and if somebody wants its C source 
  10. code (I hope you will use it to develop better screen savers) 
  11. I will send it by e-mail for free.

  13. 2. Installation
  14. Win95: right click on FOYD.SCR and choose install. 
  15. WinNT 4.0: copy FOYD.SCR in your Windows NT directory, 
  16. right click on the desktop, select "Properties...", the 
  17. "Display Properties" dialog box should appear;
  18. select "Screen Saver" tab and "Foyd" from the list of 
  19. available screen savers.

  21. 3. Configuration
  22. Right click on the desktop and choose "Properties" from the
  23. menu.
  24. On the "Screen Saver" page use "Settings" to configure FOYD's 
  25. parameters or "Password protected" and "Change..." to set up 
  26. a password.

  28. 4. Notes
  29. - (Win NT) on win NT the screen saver works only on Desktop 
  30. background, if you have a single color background, FOYD effect
  31. is not visible.
  32. - FOYD is happy to work even on my 100MHz 486 but likes powerful
  33. pentiums and 16-24bit colorful video modes!
  34. - FOYD, like any other screen saver, can't really save your video,
  35. if you want to save your video (and reduce your bills!), use the 
  36. energy saving features of your monitor and video card... 
  37. ...but let FOYD play for some time!

  42. If you like FOYD tell me by e-mail or (better) with a postcard.
  43. But even if you don't like it I hope you can look at
